Sunday Worship Experience

This message takes us into the heart of Mark chapter 6, where we encounter the disciples in a boat, fighting against wind and waves at 3 a.m., exhausted after witnessing one of Jesus' greatest miracles—the feeding of the 5,000. What strikes us most is this: they didn't drift into this storm through disobedience. Jesus insisted they get in the boat. This reveals a profound truth about our faith journey—sometimes following Jesus doesn't calm the chaos, but leads us right into it. We discover that not every storm we face is a consequence of sin or poor choices. Sometimes we find ourselves in turbulent waters precisely because we obeyed God's voice. The disciples went from miracle to storm, from provision to uncertainty, and many of us know exactly what that feels like. We've experienced God move powerfully in our lives, only to find ourselves in confusing, difficult seasons immediately after. The message challenges us to examine our storms: are we here because we disobeyed, or because we faithfully followed? And more importantly, can we trust that Jesus sees us even when the waves are crashing and He seems distant? The presence of a storm does not mean the absence of God. In fact, it's often in the storm that we discover who God truly is—not just in theory, but in the depths of our experience.
